Probability jokes that are actually funny? Not a chance!
Year Six have been working hard on Probability this past week, focussing on Chance. They have designed and conducted chance experiments with small number trials (surface learning) and used these results to make predictions (deeper learning) about what results might look like for a larger quantity.
They have also had to transfer their knowledge of fractions, decimals and percentages to describe the probability of outcomes in chance experiments.
The children really enjoyed the hands on investigations and using their previous knowledge of fractions to help them promote their problem solving skills.

✨ The Transfiguration of the Lord ✨ Today, our students explored the powerful Gospel story of the Transfiguration—a moment where Jesus is revealed in dazzling glory alongside Moses and Elijah, and a voice from the heavens proclaims, “This is my Son, whom I love… listen to Him!” At first glance, it’s a dramatic display of divine power and mystery. But through a post-critical lens, our students and staff have begun to wonder: what if the most important part of this story isn't the shining clothes or heavenly voices… but the quiet, human response? Today our Stage 3 students were visited by Xavier from Graffiti Education, who spoke with us about graffiti and the importance of making positive choices — not only when it comes to graffiti, but in life. A big thank you to Blacktown City Council for funding this wonderful initiative and supporting our students to learn and grow. Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese
