Probability jokes that are actually funny? Not a chance!
Year Six have been working hard on Probability this past week, focussing on Chance. They have designed and conducted chance experiments with small number trials (surface learning) and used these results to make predictions (deeper learning) about what results might look like for a larger quantity.
They have also had to transfer their knowledge of fractions, decimals and percentages to describe the probability of outcomes in chance experiments.
The children really enjoyed the hands on investigations and using their previous knowledge of fractions to help them promote their problem solving skills.

Lest We Forget 🌺 Today we pause to remember the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all those who served and continue to serve. We honour the ANZACs — their bravery, their stories, and the legacy they leave behind. May we always strive to live in a way that reflects their strength and mateship. 🇦🇺🇳🇿21 Apr 2025

Vale Holy Father: Diocese of Parramatta Bishop Vincent Long said Pope Francis would always be remembered for keeping the flame of hope, and the message of God’s love, alive in a world that needs both more now than ever. “While today is a day of profound grief and sadness for us here in Parramatta and indeed right around the world, it is also a day to give thanks for the life of a man who gave so much to so many”, Bishop Vincent said. 🎄Merry Christmas to our Mary Immaculate community!🎄 Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the light of the world, who came to bring hope, peace, and joy to all. May the gift of His love fill your hearts and homes this Christmas season. As we reflect on Mary's faith and courage, may her example inspire us to trust in God’s plan and share His love with those around us. Let us carry the spirit of Christmas into our lives, bringing kindness and compassion to all we meet. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year! 🩵💙 Today, we celebrated the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven. At Mary Immaculate, we are a Marian School, meaning “Mary school”. We have a special love for Mary and try to follow her good example every day. God took Mary to Heaven because she was very special. She had a strong faith, was a loving wife, and most importantly, the mother of Jesus. Mary shows us how to be proud of our faith, how to pray, and how to trust in God’s plan for us 🩵💙08 Aug 2024

🌟 Today is a truly special day as we celebrate the feast of Mary MacKillop, Australia’s first saint! 🌟 Mary MacKillop exemplified unwavering trust in God, even in the face of challenges. She knew, just as Jesus teaches us in the Gospel, that worrying doesn’t add a single hour to our lives. Instead, she trusted in God’s love and care, a trust that we are all called to embrace. In honor of Mary MacKillop, we gathered for our Para Liturgy and took a moment to recognize students who, like her, show remarkable faith and compassion. These young leaders use the example of Jesus to make a difference and help others in their journey. Let’s continue to follow Mary MacKillop’s inspiring example and trust in God’s guidance as we strive to make a positive impact in our own communities. 🙏❤️
