If you've ever assumed that attending a Catholic school means you have to be Catholic and that the fees are expensive, you're not alone. It's a common perception, but for many families, the reality looks quite different.

You don't need to be Catholic to belong.
Catholic schools offer character formation that respects the religious and non-religious backgrounds of all students. Day to day, faith shows up through kindness, resilience, service to others, and a genuine sense of belonging, built through learning and social justice programs that let kids make a real difference.

The curriculum looks a lot like you'd expect.
Catholic schools teach the NSW curriculum and are proud of the academic achievements of our students. Religious Education is designed for students of any religious or non-religious background. For those students who are Catholic, it aims to support them in understanding their faith. For other students, it aims to help them learn more about a Catholic understanding of life.

Academic results speak for themselves.
Catholic schools consistently punch above their weight - strong HSC results, dedicated teachers and a genuine sense of community that means every student is known and supported.

The benefits last well beyond graduation.
A 2025 study using HILDA data found Catholic school graduates were, on average, more likely to be employed, reported higher life satisfaction and better general health, were more likely to donate to charity, and earned a 4-11% wage premium vs government-school peers after controls.

And the fees question - it's more affordable than people assume.
Catholic education isn't the exclusive, expensive world some parents imagine. Fees are kept as low as possible, with families paying less each day than they'd spend on everyday essentials like lunch or parking. Sibling discounts are available, flexible payment plans are standard and schools work with families experiencing genuine financial hardship. No family is turned away simply because of their inability to pay.

The bottom line:
Catholic schools today are inclusive, high-achieving, values-driven communities. The best way to see what one is really like is to experience it firsthand. Attend an open day or speak with staff about the programs and community that make each school unique.

โœจ๐Ÿ™ Congratulations to our wonderful students who have received the Sacrament of Confirmation over the past few weeks! This milestone is not just a celebration of what has been, but an invitation to step into the world with courage, guided by the Holy Spirit. In a world that sometimes feels uncertain, our young people remind us that faith can be lived authentically through kindness, justice, and compassion. May their Confirmation inspire all of us to reflect: How do we allow the Spirit to shape our choices, our relationships, and our hope for the future? We are so proud of our students and grateful to walk this journey of faith with them. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™ Today we celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary โ€” the belief that Mary, at the end of her earthly life, was taken body and soul into heaven.๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™ Often we focus on this as a moment of honour for Mary, recognising her closeness to God. But perhaps there is another perspective to consider: the Assumption is also a sign of what God desires for each of us. Maryโ€™s life reminds us that our bodies and our lives matter โ€” that Godโ€™s love is not only for our souls, but for the whole of who we are. In a world that can sometimes separate the spiritual from the everyday, Maryโ€™s Assumption tells us that the ordinary parts of life โ€” our work, relationships, struggles, and joys โ€” are all caught up in Godโ€™s plan for wholeness and resurrection. Itโ€™s a celebration not just of Maryโ€™s story, but of the hope that is promised to us all. ๐Ÿ’™

Fatherโ€™s Day is fast approaching, and we canโ€™t wait to welcome our special visitors on site! ๐Ÿ’™ This year, our Fatherโ€™s Day celebrations coincide with Jersey Day, inspired by the legacy of Nathan Gremmo, a young man whose organ donation saved the lives of others. As a Catholic community, we honour this call to give the gift of life, reflecting Jesusโ€™ teaching to love and serve others. Students may wear their sports uniform with their favourite team jersey over the top in support of the Donate Life campaign. ๐Ÿ‰โšฝ๐Ÿ€

โœจ The Transfiguration of the Lord โœจ Today, our students explored the powerful Gospel story of the Transfigurationโ€”a moment where Jesus is revealed in dazzling glory alongside Moses and Elijah, and a voice from the heavens proclaims, โ€œThis is my Son, whom I loveโ€ฆ listen to Him!โ€ At first glance, itโ€™s a dramatic display of divine power and mystery. But through a post-critical lens, our students and staff have begun to wonder: what if the most important part of this story isn't the shining clothes or heavenly voicesโ€ฆ but the quiet, human response? After the light fades and the cloud disappears, Jesus gently touches His friends and says, โ€œDo not be afraid.โ€ In a world where children are often overwhelmed by expectations, noise, and uncertainty, this story reminds us that divine moments arenโ€™t just about grand revelationsโ€”but about being present, comforting, and steadfast when others are afraid. ๐Ÿ’ฌ What if the Transfiguration is less about changing Jesus and more about changing the disciples? ๐Ÿ’ฌ What if it invites us to see the divine in each other, especially in times of fear, doubt or silence? As a community, we are being invited to listenโ€”not just to loud voices or shining momentsโ€”but to the whisper of God in everyday life. ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ "This text speaks to us of a world in which... God is revealed in both glory and gentleness."
